What is this tool?

This is a safety simulator for gene editing. Just like a spell checker finds typos, this tool finds 'genetic typos' where the CRISPR tool might accidentally cut the wrong part of the DNA.

  • •Target Configuration: This is the specific DNA sequence you want to edit (the 'Search Term').
  • •Off-Target Landscape: A map showing where else in the genome your search term appears. Red dots are dangerous matches.
  • •Specificity Score: A safety rating from 0-100. Higher is safer. A low score means your edit is risky and might cause side effects.
